The Adventures Of Me And My Rucksack

We have had an AWESOME day today!!! We went on a day Kayaking trip!!!! It was in the sea and around loads of Lagoons on a canyon!!

It was gorgeous!!! We were in a really nice small group and had a brilliant guide called Bart who was hilarious! It was a beautiful place it was called Mangrove Forest and it was like a forest but partly underwater! The highlight of the day was definatly the Monkeys!!

In one part of the 'forest' there are monkeys everywhere and they come on to your boat and we had pineapple and watermelon to give them!! The were so friendly! They came and sat on your lap or your shoulder!!

Some of them also had babys hanging on to there bodys!! It was amazing..... monkeys can swim too...... really well!! We got some great photo's.... fingers crossed! We also went to a little secluded beach for a swim!! When we had to paddle back the waves were quite rough and chucking us around!! It was super cool though!! We got an awesome lunch when we got back too!! Our arms are aching a bit now!!!! ;-) It was a brill day.... we loved it............ and we didn't capsize once!!!!!!!!

Well well well!!!! What an exciting few days!!
The boat here from Koh Phi Phi was terrifying........ the sea was so so so rough.... water was coming through the ceiling and through the doors!! Our bags got soaked!! I even got my phone out at one point to text everyone to say goodbye ;-) ........ Maybe thats a slight exageration, but it was very bad!! The waves were huge and the boat was not at all stable!! (Dad...... i'm sure you'd of had a few words of wisdom for the captain!!) Well i was more than relieved to be back on dry land!! Krabie we decided was a bit Krappie!! So we are staying at a nearby town called Ao Nang which is by the beach and quite sweet its a bit like a margate..... seaside town but its cool!!! Were we're staying it awesome.... really friendly! On of the islands around this area was used in the James Bond film 'The Man With The Golden Gun' (The scaramongers island with od job!!!) We can see it from the see if from here but we haven't visited it! Ben wanted to go and see if one of the bond girls had been left behind! ;-) yesterday we went to an Elephant camp called Nosey parkers!! It was awesome!! We went and rode an elephant through the Jungle and we got to sit on the head (not as nasty as that sounds) The ground was really muddy and slippery but our elephant handled it well! :-) It was quite a long trek.... it went though a river.... the elephants just went whatever way they wanted.... it was real funny! after the trek we went and fed the elephants and watched them have a bath in the river!! That was really interesting... they went right under the water!! I never new elephants could swim!! ;-) We also went for a walk through the jungle and saw rubber trees!!! "Rubber doesn't grow on trees'....... well actually.......... it does!!! You can pick bits off and its just like a rubber band! Crazy!! It was a really nice day we met loads of cool people!!

After a long day of getting on and off of boats and buses we arrived it Koh Phi Phi!! Its gorgeous!! The islands really different to the others... its soo nice!! Theres no roads for a start it all little lanes like Brighton! Its more expencive here too but its obvious why!! We're staying in a little guest house down one of the lanes called Island Guesthouse... Koh Phi Phi was one of the islands hit by the Tsunami.... it was completely whiped out! The islands quite small and thin so the didn't really stand a chance!! It been built back up really well! We saw some pictures of how badly it was effected... its changed so much!! Yesterday we went on a snorkelling/swimming trip round the islands... it was amazing! We went to so many places! Koh Phi Phi has loads of mini islands around it! We went somewhere called Bamboo island which was gorgeous! It was a bit like thie island on lost!! The water was like nothing we'd seen it was so clear and it was and amazing blue colour!! We did some snorkelling round some amazing reefs!! The reef is rewally dangerous and sharp nearly everyone on the boat cut themself on it!! We took a underwater camera so we should have some brill photos!! We also went to Maya Beach which is where 'The Beach' was filmed!! The sand was white.... it was so nice!! The water round it was so choppy.... i thought we were all gonna die!! ;-) We went in to soem coves aswell which were gorgeous..... there were some mini beaches that you could only get to by boat!! It was such a nice day and to top it off we went to Monkey Beach on the way back!!! It was brrriliant..... There are loads of monkeys just living on the beach and there really friendly... well untill you run out of food!! They started chasing us and barking at us! We all ran and jumped on to the boat!! It was so funny!! They were really cute tho they would come up to you and take the food out of your hand!!! It was such a hot day and the sun was on us all day.... so yes.... we got sunburnt!! Bens burnt pretty bad although he had factor 50+ sun screen on!! ;-) I got burnt too.... pretty much everyone on the boat did!! The sun was so strong sun screen didn't really do anything!! Its just as hot today too so were keeping well out of the sun!! weore oing to Krabi tommorrow on the early morning boat!! Theres loads of stuff to do there like riding elephants and Kayaking so were gonna do some of that!!! Bye bye for now!!!

Well well well......... sorry we haven't blogged for so long its all been go go go!!!! Koh Panggan is really really nice..... we stayed at a really really nice place...... it was called Weangthai....... the room was nice and it was managed by this northener guy who was hilarious!! The place had a swimming pool by the beach which was awesome!! It had a bar in the swimming pool aswell with bar stools in the water.... it was brilliant.... you could just swim up and get a drink!! the first day we were there we hired a buke and decided to go for a ride up the island and back..... BIG mistake!! The way there was really nice we stopped of at a waterfall which was liierally and dribble of water.... not impressed!! the views were really nice!!! On the way back we took an alternate route which is where we went wrong! The road had huge hills that were soooooo steep!! It was pretty scary cos once you've gone up....... you've gotta go back down!! At one point we were going up one of the steeper hills and the bike really didn't like it so i wacked it in to 1st gear.... which is probably the worst thing i could have done! The bike did a huge wheely (adam.... you'd have been well impressed!!) The only reason we didn't go right over is because Ben was clever enough to lean forward rather than backwards..... unlike me!! After that Ben refused to get back on the bike.... But he came round after walking a few miles... ;-) It was a pretty scary day.... hilarious tho... looking back ;-) After that we took the bike straight back and went to have a nice Thai Massage to calm our nerves! We also went to a bar called Jumunji which was awesome...... it had swings and big cushions everywhere it was a really nice place to..... as Ben would say..... 'chill out' ;-) They also had a cinema next door called The Livin' Room which was even better.....1, It had air con and 2, there were comfy sofas and big cushions everywhere!!! Next to your seat there was a phone and a menu you and you could ring up and order your food and drink!! We were the only people there so we got to watch whatever we wanted!! It was a really good night!! Koh Phangan was really nice but its more of a party island!! Also the weaters really bad.... it just rains all the time!! We decided to go to Koh Phi Phi which is an island on the other side of Thailand!!!

Well sorry i haven't blogged for ages 1 its all been busy busy busy here and 2 the internet is really expensive here......... in fact everything is about twice the price!!!! The trip from Bangkok here was crazy.... we got the overnight bus which dropped us off at a totally random place at about 3 in the morning..... they chucked us in a room with some mats on the floor so we could have a sleep.... it was so so funny.... it wasn't the most comfortable sleep but it was alot of fun!! Then at about 6.30 we were picked up by another bus trhat took us to the pier where we got a 5 hour boat to Koh Tao!! The buss stopped in the middle of the sea about half way because the engine was over heating i was asleep at the time and Ben woke me up to tell me we were sinking.... Lucky we weren't cos i just went back to sleep!! The island were on is really really nice! Theres not much to do appart from snorkel and scuba dive so we've done our fare share of that!!! Theres three mini islands here and there all joined by beach..... its the only place in the world apparently!!! The fishes and the coral here are really beautiful! We've been staying in a little wooden shack about 2 seconds from the beach and we got it for free because we've been doing sone snorcelling and scuba diving with the same company..... result!!! We've got huge lizards in the walls that fight at night and some times go running along the floor..... it was pretty scary at first but we got used to it!! There's holes all over the wall where thwey come in and out!! They sound like rats when they run around!! We also hired a moped the first day and had a cruise round the island and see what was going on!! Anyway thats about it for now! Oh we've got a swimming pool too which is real nice.... its right next to the sea!! Hope everyone all good!!!!
